Hailee Steinfeld’s ‘Bumblebee’ Promo Tour

Hailee Steinfeld has been busy with the ‘Bumblebee’ promotional tour over the last week.

‘Bumblebee’ Beijing Premiere: She kicked things off on Friday (December 14) in Saint Laurent Fall 2018. The colour is very much in her wheelhouse. It’s the playful swirling details on the mini that make it special. She has cleverly echoed the movement with her topknot. The glitter-toe heels increase the fun rock ‘n’ roll sentiment without taking away from the sculptural detail.

‘Bumblebee’ Beijing Press Conference: That same day, she glistened in a halterneck gown for the press conference. Some might wonder why she didn’t wear this maxi dress to the premiere as it certainly has the wow factor. The graphic lines also lend it a superhero feeling.

Build Series: She is frequently drawn to black, but she opted for chic shades of khaki green on Tuesday (December 18) in New York City. The olive tones work marvellously with her hair. I love the way the knit and her Steve Madden ‘Century’ booties have a brighter, warmer finish to pop against the more muted tailored pieces.

SiriusXM: On Thursday (December 20) in New York, she experimented with loud colour and pattern in Heron Preston Fall 2018. It’s a dynamic mix, but the finishing touches make it confusing. The sheer tights and shoes give the dress too formal of an appearance. It would have worked better with chunky boots like in the lookbook.

Out In New York City: Finally, she took to the streets in high style on Thursday (December 20) in Elie Saab Spring 2019. This shows how to wear a spring ensemble now. It’s retro, bold and spirited. It’s a lot of look, but she has carried it off with aplomb.
