2015 Creative Arts Emmy Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Creative Arts Emmys Red Carpet Roundup

More actresses joined Julianne Hough, Katharine McPhee, and Heidi Klum at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards at Microsoft Theater on Saturday (September 12) in Los Angeles, California.

Rashida Jones: Amidst the sea of long gowns, the actress opted to go short in a Valentino bird-embroidered frock with equally whimsical, embellished shoes. There was a certain youthful charm to the look but it was perhaps one better suited to another occasion, or better yet, a starlet like Kiernan Shipka or Elle Fanning.

Rowan Blanchard: While lovely, the 13-year-old actress seemed a bit older than her years in his Paule Ka patterned gown. Perhaps she and Rashida should have swapped looks.

Mindy Kaling: Flaunting a bold hue like she does best, the funny girl could have stopped traffic in her red Salvador Perez asymmetrical, one-shoulder cape gown beautifully styled with soft curls and a complementary Swarovski clutch. Creative Arts Emmys Red Carpet Roundup 2

Nina Dobrev: The creases in the pearl-accented, slit skirt weren’t the only woes here. The Mugler look translated as a bit dated, even when styled with punchy Sophia Webster shoes, a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, and Martin Katz Fine Jewelry.

Cat Deeley: This slit-to-there Mugler gown was more like it with a sexy-sophisticated silhouette and mod, grommet detailing. Silver Tamara Mellon sandals completed the sultry, sleek effect.

Katherine Hahn: The actress wore a Brock Collection Resort 2016 design that juxtaposed abstract, painterly patterning with the feminine, ball-gown silhouette.

Mindy looks amazing in that dress. The silhouette and colour look perfect on her

Cat just announced that she’s expecting so here’s hoping this is an indicator of a successful maternity season run!

    Rashida and Mindy

Rowan for me, can identify with nerdy girls beyond their years. Rashida looks youthful as always. Not my style exactly but exactly hers.

Mindy looks amazing. I also like Nina, in spite of the creases.

  6. Amina September 15, 2015 at 3:32 pm #

Mindy looks the best. Nina could have been ok if the skirt wasn’t too tight on her.

Cat is my favorite. I also like Rowan’s look too.

I like almost all of these looks. My favs are Nina, Cat Deeley and Mindy.

If I ignore the creases, I kinda like Nina’s look…
Mindy might be the best of the bunch.

I agreed about Rown and Rashida swapping looks!

Mindy looks great. Red is her color.

    Nina looks lost.

While I agree that it would have been better if Rowan and Rashida swapped looks, they both look lovely enough that I end up not minding at all. It also goes without saying that Mindy looks absolutely stunning here.

Cat and Mindy are my favourites of the bunch.

I can imagine Julianne or Mindy, and Rashida, running into each other at the restroom and (sincerely) asking, “What event are you attending?”,

It’s not like just one person over or under dressed; it really looks like there were two different dress codes altogether…? No?

Surprised you didn’t include Kristen Schaal in Matthew Christopher. It was my favorite of the night.

I featured everyone who caught my eye and who I knew. As I always do.

Disagree with that nina comment – this isn’t my favorite of hers but she has turned out some amazing looks this year like the zuhair cutouts jumpsuit and the red floral monique. Can’t win them all

I actually liked Nina’s look except for the fact that it must have wrinkled on the way which is a shame – also I’ve seen better photos of it than this

    Mindy looks gorgeous

I don’t think rashida is underdressed – it’s the creative Emmys not the actual Emmys

  17. Olivia September 15, 2015 at 7:54 am #

Nina’s style is sinking quicker than the titanic

  18. Alina September 15, 2015 at 7:42 am #

    Cat is my favourite here.

Mindy looks great too, but I’m getting a strong deja-vu vibe.
