Krysten Ritter In Alberta Ferretti – 2013 Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala

Krysten Ritter in Alberta Ferretti - Art Of Elysium heaven gala

Krysten Ritter attended the 2013 Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala held at 2nd Street Tunnel in California last night.

The actress experimented with a lot of different styles towards the end of last year, but she was back to her best wearing an ethereal Alberta Ferretti Spring 2013 gown.

Her aqua blue gown with tonal and sky blue lace appliqués was styled with a silver Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch.

As much as we moan about the over use of nude shoes on the red carpet, they would’ve worked perfectly with this gown which had a nude underlay. Instead Krysten opted for black, which didn’t work for me.

A very rare and surprising miss for the wonderful Krysten! I adore her and I think she has great style but I don’t think anything is working here.

Why would anyone want to change anything about the dress on the left? Especially to make it look like the dress on the right? 🙁

The runway version and presentation was divine but the poor lining, black shoes and change of neckline are all disappointing styling choices.

I prefer the cowl neckline, the blue bottom and the length on the model.

Something went wrong here, I wonder if she is wearing it back to front.

Looks like it. In the other pictures it looks like the cowl is in the back.

That doesn’t matter to me so much, but the nude lining showing at the bottom does, as do the shoes.

I don’t like anything about this look.

+1. I think she looks better in darker, brighter colors and the hem distracts from anything positive about this look.

it’s true the shoes don’t work at all but she looks so lovely that i don’t mind.

The shoes are all wrong and I don’t like the gown, either.

I agree. Not liking this look.

The gown is very soft, delicate, feminine and romantic, works beautifully on her figure, the hemline looks unfinished with the nude underlay hanging awkwardly from under the gown (as opposed to perfectly finished hemline on the model) and the black shoes absolutely do not belong, a delicate nude or silver (or complementary colour) sandal would’ve been a much better choice.

+2 I was about to come here and say the same thing! I also liked the original neckline. Disappointed because sans shoes and nude lining peeping out, this was a gorgeous romantic look that had so much potential! I like her hair and makeup though.

Oh no! The original gown is so beautiful, with the wonderful draping at the neck and especially that blue color at the hem. Why are we even seeing that nude underlay?
