Reese Witherspoon In Calvin Klein – ‘Gone Girl’ World Premiere

Reese Witherspoon In Calvin Klein - 'Gone Girl' World Premiere

Reese Witherspoon attended the opening night gala presentation and world premiere of ‘Gone Girl’ during the 52nd New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall on Friday (September 26) in New York City.

The actress was lovely in a red lacquer halter dress from the Calvin Klein Spring 2015 Collection paired with the restrained sparkle of select Fred Leighton jewels that was echoed in her gold metallic sandals.

The frock fit like a glove and the overall effect was stunning in its simplicity. No need to overdo things, with a matching red lip not even required on this occasion. The lighter blush-nude lip colour did just fine.

Glossy side-swept barrel curls were just the right finish for this glamorously modern entrance.

Her red-carpet roll continues, as Reese continues to dress to impress.

Sarah Hyland In DKNY – 2014 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party

Sarah Hyland attended the 2014 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party on Friday (September 26) in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘Modern Family’ starlet selected a DKNY Spring 2015 vibrantly patterned dress with an on-trend midriff cutout.

The abstract, geometric pattern, rendered in a contrasting mix of red and baby-blue colours created a cool, urban vibe that she enhanced with Brian Atwood ‘Marella’ patent candy-apple red pumps.

I couldn’t be happier that she nixed the flatform wedges from the runway, yet my affection ran dry when it came to the rest of Sarah’s styling.

No doubt trying to echo the mod moment of the dress, she wore a bouffant ponytail with long layers at the front, along with long Twiggy lashes, white eye shadow and a nude lip. But, with the blonde highlights, the end result was too try-hard and frankly too aging for a young Hollywood party.

Sarah’s red-carpet looks are often hit or miss, however, I’d put this firmly in the hit column—but only from the neck down.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Sarah Jessica Parker In Mary Katrantzou & Emma Watson In Christian Dior

Best Dressed Of The Week - Sarah Jessica Parker In Mary Katrantzou & Emma Watson In Christian Dior

This week was very strong fashion-wise, so I am not surprised that there was a deadlock.

You couldn’t decide between Sarah Jessica Parker and Emma Watson.

Sarah for her unique, modern take on style at the New York Ballet with her embroidered Mary Katrantzou gown; and Emma who continues to leave us in awe, presenting an event-appropriate, sophisticated, chic look in Christian Dior.

I went for Sarah for the reason above and for not over-accessorizing.

When travelling to Paris for fashion week, my mode of transport is always the Eurostar.

Why? Because it’s more convenient than flying.

Not only does the train arrive in the centre of Paris within 2 hours and 15 minutes – which is the fastest London to Paris journey time – the extra baggage allowance on the Eurostar permits two suitcases and one piece of hand luggage – perfect when packing for several outfit changes during fashion week.

November 14th marks the 20th anniversary for Eurostar, and to celebrate there will be many surprises in store for customers.

Wanting to book that weekend away to the City of Lights?

Purchase your tickets from eurostar.com.
