Michelle Monaghan was the first to wear this Acne electric blue dress with a voluminous draping over one shoulder, when she attended the Fenton/Fallon Boutique Opening in New York back in September.

The Fall 2009 dress was a great look for her, but those booties don’t work so well for me.

Actress Kaley Cuoco wore the same dress to the “Fresh Faces in Fashion” event in LA last month.

She paired her dress with strappy sandals and a powder blue clutch which was too much for this look.

Even though I love Michelle, she gets nil points for her footwear. I can just about live with Kaley clutch so she wins for me.

Kristen Bell gave us a twirl in her Tibi Spring 2010 dress.

Many of you have wished that celebrities would not wear so many Spring 2010 looks on the red carpet just yet, but this black and white dress could just as easily be a Fall 2009 dress.

I love the print, and the low back which Kristen was only too happy to so show off  for the cameras.

Black patent Louboutin’s complete the look.

Lauren Conrad wore a very short pink dress.

The length is very unlike her, but I love it - especially the rose shimmering colour.

Her dress is paired with some killer Topshop Ritz cross over mesh sandals and a black Joie Arietta sequin blazer.

I really love this look.

I bet she is satisfaction to know viewing figures are down on “The Hills” since she left.

Lauren Bosworth unlike Heidi Montag doesn’t blow all her money on big designer labels.

The star is a huge fan of high-street clothes, which is why she is wearing a French Connection LBD.

Love the dress, not so crazy about those ankle boots.

Stephanie Pratt sparkled in a black sequined dress whilst posing in her YSL Divine heels.

These heels are very much a celebrity favourite.

Prabal Gurung has had a fantastic year.

His first collection was worn by the likes of Demi Moore, Zoe Saldana, Rachel Weisz and Becki Newton.

The second collection increased the celebrity following to include Leighton Meester, Carey Mulligan and Thandie Newton.

Now he can add the most powerful female celebrity in the world - Oprah Winfrey.

The young designer custom-made this red taffeta one shoulder gown with bow detail on the shoulder for Oprah’s O Magazine December 2009 issue featuring Ellen DeGeneres.

With this huge seal of approval, Mrs Obama can’t be far behind.

O Magazine goes on sale today.

It’s customary at award show for the female host to change several times and Carrie Underwood didn’t disappoint at the CMAs last night.

Her looks included a kelly green Ina Soltani strapless dress with a tiered origami bodice.

Her second Ina Soltani dress was a bright orange silk chiffon ruffled one shoulder mini worn with strappy sandals

I knew she couldn’t go the whole night without wearing Georges Chakra.

She shimmered in the Spring 2009 Couture mini-dress covered with multi-coloured crystal gemstones and sequins.

As with any Chakra dress, the details are exquisite.

We’re not used to seeing Carrie in floral dresses, so it was refreshing to see her don a floral Tracy Reese Black Label dress, which was one of the best of the night.

A typical gold custom-made mini by Nicole Miller followed, with her last look being an adorable strapless peachy confection of pure loveliness by Randi Rahm.

Only Demi Moore can upstage the gorgeous Anja Rubik.

Demi looks breath-taking on the cover of W Magazine’s December 2009 issue which was shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

I’ve run out of superlatives to describe how amazingly beautiful this woman is.

She strikes a sexy pose that would even get her husband Ashton all hot under the collar, wearing a Balmain Spring 2010 gold leather and metal mesh dress with exposed hips.

I wonder if she took this dress home to play Tarzan and Jane with Ashton.

Yes the cover has been photoshopped to within an inch of it’s life, but we all know she IS this beautiful.

The rest of her editorial below sees her wearing Givenchy, Armani Prive and Lanvin.

This issue goes on sale November 24.

Here are some extracts from her interview, but you can read the full interview on wmgazine.com.

On using Twitter to transform her public image: “People are much more interested in what I have to say directly, and that really changed the whole dynamic I have with fans…I can’t impress enough the difference in how people are perceiving me. They’re getting to see who I am.”

Nicole Kidman looks AMAZING.

L’Wren Scott dressed her client in Prada for her previous red carpet appearance to a weak applause, today Nicole is blowing me away in a hot pink L’Wren Scott Spring 2010 embroidered gown.

I love the cut, and the sexy silhouette which gives Nicole some curves we’ve never seen before.

Yes we’d love to see a Nicole switch up her designers more often, but when she looks this great in Scott’s designs it’s no wonder she keeps going back for more.

BDOTW contender for sure.

If any of you are surprised Taylor Swift is wearing a gold glittering with sequins, you haven’t been reading this blog for very long.

This is Taylor’s trademark, and I don’t blame her.

This Reem Acra sequin strapless gold gown with tulle skirt looks like a Princess dress, and I’m sure she felt very special wearing it.

Every princess has a prince, so it’s shame Taylor Lautner was in London on her big night.

She’s another contender.

From the sublime to tragic.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Kellie Pickler look so bad.

It’s not the fault of her David Meister pewter lame gown, it’s the hair.

The strawberry blonde colour doesn’t work. This is worst than a blonde Katharine McPhee.

Martina McBride wore a Georges Hobeika Fall 2008 Couture silver metallic strapless gown with a beaded bodice.

I loved the gown, but the draped detail on the hips didn’t work for me on Martina.

Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland never disappoints on the red carpet.

This time she wore a stunning strapless Luisa Beccaria Fall 2009 midnight blue siren tulle gown with a frilly detailed hem and train.

Michelle Branch shuns wearing a gown to give us a young cute look wearing an aqua blue Matthew Williamson jewel detailed dress from the Fall 2009 collection.

Carrie Underwood typically gives her big hair and an embellished dress, but her Theia dress is a bit shapeless for my liking.

Leann Rimes should be wearing red. j/k

The good girl gone bad lives us to her current image by vamping things up with heavy make-up, but contrasts that with a white angelic 3.1 Phillip Lim gown.

Faith Hill wore a beautiful mauve strapless Azzaro gown which already had a jeweled halter strap, so I’m confused as to why she then added more necklaces.

Feels like overkill to me which is a shame.

Miranda Lambert opted for a Nicole Miller gown with an open back and beaded details on the shoulders.

Question.

When did it become appropriate/acceptable for women to expose their panties through lace dresses?

I guess since Dolce & Gabbana sent models down their Spring 2010 runway with this very look.

Madonna was the first to don this look whilst on vacation in Portofino, Italy home of designers Dolce Domenico and Stefano Gabbana back in August.

Her see-through black Dolce & Gabbana lace dress gave us a peek at her ‘Bridget Jones’ style granny pants.

She has been named as the Spring 2010 face of Dolce & Gabbana, so we can expect to see a lot of her in her pants over the coming months.

Vogue Paris Editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld and Lady GaGa - of course - have both been seen sporting the risqué look over the past week.

I wonder who will be next.

My bet is on Rihanna.
