“Revolver” Screening, New York

Madonna looks every inch the A lister in this Dolce & Gabbana black satin dress with a camel waist belt.
I love the cute curls, but hate the roots. They can be forgiven as this has very much been Madonna signature.

I wish Sarah Jessica Parker would have lost the bear coat. I bet her Dolce & Gabbana outfit was fabulous underneath.
Bee Movie Premiere, Paris

This dress is very plain for Renee Zellweger, but I do like it. I hope she wears makes a greater effort at the London Premiere on Thursday.
“The Golden Compass” Premiere, New York

Eva Green is very statuesque in this Dior Fall 2007 dress.
Scandinavian Mansion of Style Event, LA

As you would expect from Britney Spears a total car crash.
What I don’t get though is that cutesy grin. We all know about her wild antics and I don’t think we bought this cutesy grin since “Oops I Did It Again”, were she claimed that she was not that innocent.

Speaking of car crashes. Both Paris Hilton and Sharon Stone were in attendance.

It was a hard choice this week as
Thandie Newton has another great week in
Giles and
Calvin Klein.
Katie Holmes stunned everyone with a new do and stepping out of her
Giorgio Armani comfort-zone by wearing
Monique Lhuillier.
But I chose Kerry Washington in Jason Wu. The dress is electric and the Stella McCartney satin pumps were the perfect compliment.

After 21 successful years as a Supermodel, Naomi Campbell is still on top of her game in the December issue of
Marie Claire España.
Naomi obviously loves this Louis Vuitton Fall 2007 dress, as she wore it to the Marie Claire Prix de la Mode event in Spain two weeks ago.

Resort is a fairly new phenomenon in the UK, but it has been in the US for many years.
Resort can also be referred to at “Cruise” wear as it would not be uncommon for the wearer to be on a cruise ship, living the “jet set” lifestyle.

In London stores like
Chanel and
Prada are shunning tinsel and fake snow filled Christmas windows, to display their
Resort collections, such is the importance of this line.
They know their high-end customers will be out of the country for most of December as they jet off to warmer climes and will be in need of some new clothes. The Resort collections tend to be lighter fabrics than Fall collections, and heavier than Spring collections. So it is perfect for Christmas in South Africa, Thailand or Sri Lanka, without wearing old Spring 2007 clothes.
Resort fits in between Fall and Spring collections, which helps elevate the boredom of seeing those Fall clothes that have been in the stores since July and it mentally prepares you for the upcoming Spring collections.

We were barely into this Fall 2007 when many celebrities were wearing Resort 2008. Back in June
Demi Moore was the first celebrity to don Resort, which she wore to the
YSL Cruise 2008 Preview. I guess she had a
pre-Preview.
Even in the New York this week, celebrities such as Julianne Moore and Jaquetta Wheeler were braving the cold to wear Resort.
Resort can be sexy, and it is not all about the nautical look.
