Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham – Out In London

Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham - Out In London

Victoria Beckham was recently spotted in London, where she checked up on her new shop in London’s Mayfair set to open sometime in September of this year.

The boutique will house Victoria’s main collection of luxury wear, as well as accessories and denim, and rather appropriately, she once again proved to be a superlative ambassador of her label.

Looking ever so smart, she combined several pieces from her Spring 2014 collection, matching the relaxed pair of culottes with a black jumper and white blouse.

An oversized set of statement frames and black pumps were all she needed to complete the street-chic outing.

Charlotte Gainsbourg In Anthony Vaccarello – ’3 Coeurs’ Venice Film Festival Photocall

Charlotte Gainsbourg In Anthony Vaccarello - '3 Coeurs' Venice Film Festival Photocall
Charlotte Gainsbourg attended the ’3 Coeurs’ photo call during the 2014 Venice Film Festival on Saturday (August 30) in Venice, Italy.

Surprisingly, the Anglo-French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg skipped a Louis Vuitton look in favour of an edgy Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2014 black leather mini-skirt with an asymmetric, spliced-to-there hem—one of the designer’s recognizable strong-sexy signatures.

Always carrying with her a seemingly effortless approach to style, she paired the leggy design with a roomy black sweater and put even less fuss towards her makeup-free face and barely-fixed hair.

I would have worn a shoe, sans ankle strap, to maximize leg line.

Still, this look had all the chic and ever-so-slightly rebellious spirit á la Charlotte that we’ve come to expect.

Olivia Palermo In Witchery – The Chadstone Runway Fashion Show

Olivia Palermo In Witchery - The Chadstone Runway Fashion Show

Olivia Palermo was spotted at the Chadstone Runway Fashion Show in Melbourne, Australia on Thursday (August 28).

Looking very much like herself, the style-forward socialite magicked a black Witchery trench into a sophisticated dress, while adding a dash of the Midas touch with her Witchery multi-cord golden necklace and matching bracelet.

Never missing a beat when it comes to accessories, she ensure her metallic peep-toe sandals and small clutch continued the gold theme.

Seeing the lookbook and then Olivia, with her wispy updo, I love what’s she’s done with the trench, making it her own with her signature, relaxed-sleek edge.

Catherine Deneuve In Prada – ’3 Coeurs’ Venice Film Festival Photocall

Catherine Deneuve In Prada - '3 Coeurs' Venice Film Festival Photocall2
Catherine Deneuve attended the photo call for her film, ’3 Coeurs,’ as part of the 2014 Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Saturday (August 30).

The screen icon left no pattern unturned in a Prada Resort 2015 dress that featured an intricately decorative and brightly hued floral print.

Having been stripped of many of its original runway bells and whistles, including the label’s signature embellishment and eclectic styling, the frock had a more sophisticated and less quirky, but also less interesting, edge.

Jade-green earrings and black Saint Laurent ‘Tribtoo’ platform sandals completed the look.

Another more delicate and less imposing shoe might have made all the difference, here, as this pair was far too heavy—and frankly rather twee—for all that print.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Lizzy Caplan In Donna Karan Atelier, Emma Stone In Valentino Couture, Allison Williams In Giambattista Valli Couture & Nikolaj Coster-Waldau In Salvatore Ferragamo

Best Dressed Of The Week - Lizzy Caplan In Donna Karan Atelier, Emma Stone In Valentino Couture

It was a week where glamour came back to the red carpet, with the Emmy Awards and the Venice Film Festival, and it’s from those two events that you couldn’t separate your favourites.

Lizzy Caplan swept you away in her Donna Karan Atelier black and white gown and Emma Stone was breathtaking making her return to the red carpet with a new ‘do in Valentino Couture.

I, on the other hand, had narrowed my favourites down to four. After much deliberation I picked Allison Williams in her enchanting Giambattista Valli Couture gown, which may have been too princessey for some, but this look swept me away.

There were many fine gents in suits this week. Mostly all black, so how do you pick them apart?

By the impeccable tailoring, slight detailing – such as contrasting buttons, a pocket square and straight bow tie – and of course devilishly good looks play their part, so up steps Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in Salvatore Ferragamo to collect his prize for the win.
