Olivia Munn In Diane von Furstenberg – FOX’s Cause For Paws: An All-Star Dog Spectacular

Olivia Munn In Diane von Furstenberg - FOX's Cause For Paws An All-Star Dog Spectacular

Olivia Munn attended FOX’s Cause For Paws: An All-Star Dog Spectacular held at Barker Hangar on Saturday (November 22) in Santa Monica, California before attending the American Music Awards.

The actress brought along her pooch wearing a Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2015 frock which combines the fit-and-flare silhouette with a rich decorative collage design.

I know some don’t buy Olivia’s prim offerings, but I happen to love that she can serve up just about any type of look.

This sophisticated day-to-night offering is given a simple finish with black Louboutins and a touch of sass via the red lips and manicure.

Better than her AMAs look?

Lily Collins In Elie Saab – 2014 Golden Horse Awards

Lily Collins In Elie Saab - 2014 Golden Horse Awards

Lily Collins joined Zhang Ziyi on the red carpet for the 51st Golden Horse Awards held at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall on Saturday (November 22) in Taipei, Taiwan.

The actress, who is in town for promotional duties for Lancome, had another Elie Saab red carpet moment, selecting a blue lace gown spliced with alluring panels and a sheer skirt, which wasn’t too revealing, from the Spring 2015 collection.

Yes, the gown isn’t anywhere near as exciting as her previous Couture gown but judging this look on its own merits it’s supremely elegant, designed to be eye-catching, the colour looks heavenly against her pale skin and the pop of red to the lips was all that was needed to perfect this look.

Get The Look: Elizabeth Banks’ AMAs Makeup

2014 American Music Awards - ArrivalsCelebrity makeup artist Fiona Stiles worked with Elizabeth Banks for the 2014 American Music Awards on Sunday.

Fiona explains her beauty inspiration. “Clean with colour was the inspiration to complement Elizabeth’s dress for the American Music Awards. She looks so great with a strong brow and a bright lip – it’s my favourite way to make her up.”

Here’s how to get the look

She began with Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Moisture Foundation #023 and Tom Ford Concealing Pen in Medium/Light. She also used a bit of Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder.

For contour and highlighter, she used Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. To bring out those cheeks she used NARS Sex Machine and Chanel Les Beiges #30 blush.

Fiona said that a little contour gives a modern, sculpted look with just a touch of blush for a subtle flush. Plus it keeps the contour from looking too severe.

On the brows she used Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash.

For the eyes, she just used a combination of a powder highlighter and contour instead of eyeshadow (Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder and MAC Lightsweep Highlighter). She likes using taupe because it adds depth without looking like a lot of makeup. It makes the eye colour pop and it doesn’t compete with the rest of the makeup. She used Antonym Eyeliner in Noir, a deep inky black pencil, to line the upper lid right along the lashes and then swiped Surratt Autographique Liquid Liner in Chat Noir on top of it to make it even blacker.

Loads of Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes in Glossy Black were applied on the top and a coat on the bottom to give the eyes a bit of 60s flavour.

For the lips she didn’t want to exactly match the colours in her dress so she mixed an orange and fuchsia to get a custom electric pink that lands in between the red and orange of the dress (Butter London LIPPY Moisture Matte Lipstick in Ladybird & Dahling).

Emmy Rossum In Jenny Packham – FOX’s Cause For Paws: An All-Star Dog Spectacular

Emmy Rossum In Jenny Packham - FOX's Cause For Paws An All-Star Dog Spectacular

Emmy Rossum attended FOX’s Cause For Paws: An All-Star Dog Spectacular held at The Barker Hangar on Saturday (November 22) in Santa Monica, California.

The actress wore a Jenny Packham Spring 2014 dress which I can’t say is my favourite look from Emmy despite this look being event appropriate.

My issue is mainly the mauve colour which is way too drab and in danger of washing her out.

The actress opted for neutral makeup and a simple updo with scalloped-edge black Bionda Castana ‘Consuelo’ pumps completing her look.

Would a pop of colour like the runway improve this look? I don’t know.

Kate Hudson In Zaid Affas – ‘Love In For Kids’ Benefit

Kate Hudson In Zaid Affas - 'Love In For Kids' Benefit

Kate Hudson attended her mother Goldie Hawn’s inaugural ‘Love In For Kids’ benefiting the Hawn Foundation’s MindUp programme, transforming children’s lives for greater success, held at Ron Burkle’s Green Acres Estate on Friday (November 21) in Beverly Hills, California.

Having seen this Zaid Affas Fall 2014 gown over the weekend, I was hoping that by today the white draped column gown would’ve grown on me.

No such luck.

I could imagine the likes of Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Felicity Jones or Olivia Wilde would’ve sold it to me, but this minimalist look just doesn’t feel right for Kate.

I did ponder had her hair been up would that have made a difference, but I think not.

The look is just too bland for her and is also coming off a tad maternity.
