Carey Mulligan In Christian Dior Couture – Cartier Celebrates Resonances de Cartier

Carey Mulligan joined Diane Kruger for Cartier’s celebration of Resonances de Cartier on Tuesday (October 10) in New York City.

The English actress has been on something of a role of late, however, the excitement I have felt for her previous looks didn’t extent to this one.

Her black Dior Fall 2017 Couture gown in sumptuous black velvet is actually quite stunning, as is her Cartier jewels, it’s the no-makeup makeup which fails to live up to everything else she has going on here.

Rupert Sanderson sandals completed her look.

Cate Blanchett In Gucci – ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ LA Premiere

Cate Blanchett joined Tessa Thompson for the Marvel Studios’ ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ premiere on Tuesday (October 10) in Hollywood, California.

While Tessa went down a “this is my moment” princess route, Cate took an edgier trek down a more fashion-forward path in Gucci.

I adore this mimosa flower sequin embroidered long sleeve Spring 2018 look with its sculpted shoulders, draping and front bow, but she kinda loses me from the ankle down.

I don’t need a statement shoe, the dress does enough, but a green sandal to complement her Fred Leighton necklace would’ve sent me over the edge in love with this look as I’m just not feeling those teal velvet Christian Louboutin ‘Decoltish’ pumps.

Rihanna is Instaglam in Molly Goddard

Rihanna posted a picture to her 57.2 million followers on Instagram last night wearing a Molly Goddard Resort 2018 gown simply captioned, “Tuesdays”.

This may be a casual Tuesday look for Rihanna, but this gorgeous blue tiered gown deserved a red carpet moment – especially considering it’s infinitely better than a few of her most recent outings.

The one thing this gown does tell me is that Rihanna’s obsession with volume continues.

Tessa Thompson In Schiaparelli Couture – ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ LA Premiere

Looking at Diane Kruger and Tessa Thompson, it’s safe to say the glamour famine is over.

Praise the lord hallelujah.

Tessa was breath-taking at the world premiere of Marvel Studios’ ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ on Tuesday (October 10) in Hollywood, California, wearing Schiaparelli Fall 2017 Couture.

We all know her for her more fashion-forward looks of the Rodarte variety, but she opted for simple elegance for her blockbuster night, allowing all of the drama to fall on the billowing skirt.

The marigold hue was divine against her skin tone with retro waves and Graziela Gems completing her BDOTW worthy look.

I hope she takes the reigns during this promo tour. I want to see more from her.

Diane Kruger In Giambattista Valli Couture – Cartier Celebrates Resonances de Cartier

I’ve been waiting for a Diane Kruger moment to get you back on side, and I think this is it.

The actress was back to her very best wearing a Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 Couture gown to the Cartier’s celebration of Resonances de Cartier on Tuesday (October 10) in New York City.

I have no doubt that the classic romanticism of this Giambattista Valli design will tugging at your heart strings.

The look is so elegant and refined, yet Diane brings that edge, that je ne sais quoi that has been M.I.A. from her most recent looks.

Cartier jewels and a black clutch completed her BDOTW worthy look.

Welcome back Diane. We missed you.

Who Wore Prabal Gurung Better? Laura Haddock or Nina Dobrev?

It’s very rare for Nina Dobrev to be on a “Who Wore It Better?” post, yet the actress wore the shorter version of this Prabal Gurung Fall 2017 white dress to the ‘Flatliners’ LA premiere three months after Laura Haddock.

For the ‘My Cousin Rachel’ London premiere, Laura opted to wear her look without the belt.

I like the look both ways as it suits each of their individual styles, but I love the edge the belt brings to Nina’s look so she wins for me.
