Nicole Kidman In Dolce & Gabbana – 17th Shanghai International Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Nicole Kidman In Dolce & Gabbana - 17th Shanghai International Film Festival

Nicole Kidman made a grand entrance onto the red carpet for the opening ceremony of the 17th Shanghai International Film Festival, held at Shanghai Grand Theatre in China on Saturday (June 14).

The actress was positively statuesque in her figure-skimming Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2007 nude gown with allover beading for a glittering, multidimensional effect.

More intense, intricate embellishment at the bodice, cap sleeves and the bottom of the skirt created an even bigger impact, but the look was still one of grace and movement despite what must have been a heavy gown.

When the dress is the jewelry, there’s little need for added sparkle, so a stud earring and bracelet did just fine, with a retro-glam wavy updo providing an elegant finish.

Much improved over the Prada gown, wouldn’t you agree?

    Stunning! She looks regal
    And she’s glowing
    Really nice hairdo
It’s been since Cannes 2013 that I haven’t been that impressed with her looks
    BDOTW worthy

Queen Nicole in her bright armor. She looks truly regal.
The fitting is perfect. Her (new/ improved) curves are more subtle now. I much prefer in this way.
I am surprised how this beautiful dress hadn’t been worn before.

    Stunning, radiant, impactful

Her hair sucks. Most of these women never compliment the glamour of the dress with their hairstyle, for some reason.

But the dress is lovely all over. Very unique and fabulous color.

I’m not a fan of the hairdo but the dress and Nicole look really elegant! I wanna see what is on the backside of her hair?

Ohhh this collection !!! I remember Beyonce wore a dress + belt at 2007 BET awards and looked amazing 😛

    • Alina June 16, 2014 at 13:13 #

Beyonce at the BET Awards was my first thought too. 😀

      Nicole looks spectacular!

An amazing return to form! This is the elegance I expect from Nicole, I will pretend that Prada disaster never happened!

Beautiful, glad the gown was lined and the floor length works well completing the statuesque effect, missing a belt a little bit – the wide one on the runway could’ve ended up being an overkill but a thin one would go nicely. But it all looks really beautiful the way it is and she carries it with great poise as always.

beyonce wore a long sleeve version of this with the belt and looked probably her best ever. I do not like this on Nicole so much and would have preferred the belt being added to give her a defined waist.
HUGE improvement from Prada but I am not blown away

Gorgeous. I wonder who her new stylist is.

i think it’s Julia von Boehm. When Nicole wore Altuzarra in Cannes he thanked her.

This is stunning. Very glamourous and beautiful.

She looks STUNNING! Her other outfits for her Shanghai appearances looked fabulous too: a Salvatore Ferragamo dress for a press event, and Armani Prive for the ‘Grace of Monaco’ premiere.

This is good. Nice to see an A list celebrity not afraid to go back a few years in a designer’s collection before it hits the cool “vintage” stage.

    Missing a belt.
