Kate Bosworth attended the SK-II Skincare line event at David Jones in Sydney, Australia, today where she was unveiled as the new face of the brand, joined long-time ambassador Cate Blanchett.
The actress wore head-to-toe gold donning a Stella McCartney Spring 2013 dress.
Her simple yet dazzling gold-sequin column frock was styled with Giuseppe Zanotti gold strappy glitter sandals and a patent leather gold clutch.
Kate is often spotted with straggly hair, but on this occasion she made the effort to blow out her blonde locks.
A dark pink lip colour and her engagement ring completed her look.

Stella McCartney or Donna Karan?
stella…half asleep…one more post then I’m logging off.
Lol take a nap FC (: congrats for the blog!
thanks….
Are sparkly beach towel dresses becoming a thing? Yesterday Diane Kruger in Chanel, today this. Definitely not a fan of the fit or of the lenght of this one (the hem also looks badly done), but I do like the hair!
+ 1
Exactly what I thought! I’m not liking this silhouette much at the moment.
+1
+3. I still think her hair looks a bit straggly and her lips are looking enhanced…not in a good way.
Well done, I was about to write the same thing!
simple but beautiful.
OOOOO,OO-OOO-OOO, I love Kate and I REALLY love this dress on her…love you too FC
kisses….love you too :*
This dress is not flattering at all. It does nothing for her. Hair looks a little dry on the ends too.
I agree – just a piece of fabric. The color looks good on her but that’s about it.
Pretty much boring.
+1
Is she holding the dress on with her upper arms? No other excuse for her uncomfortable upper body posture. Not a fan of the look.
She looks lovely as always, but the length of the dress is not very flattering.
I dislike the length of the dress, but everything else is great.
I Love this cool and chic look of her.A shapeless dress is so hard to wear and she rocks it !!
Shapeless sparkle sack alert!
This just reminds me as a glittery potato sack. I agree with everyone this is not a flattering look at all.
Also FC she is not replacing Cate she is just joining the brand family.
thank you
I am not that familiar with Kate as an actress but whenever I hear her speak she sounds intelligent and sweet and I love her style and think she is stunning, but no one will ever come close to Cate for me (as a massive LOTR obsessive she made her way into my heart at age 7 and will never leave!), except maybe Tilda.
I usually really love her looks but not this one. I hate this kind of hollographic metallic, I dislike the silhouette and the colour. What bothers em most about this whole look is that I am looking at everything but her face – her hair, lips, shoes (gorgeous!), dress are detracting from her beautiful skin which should be the focus here.
I believe that her clutch is proenza.
I love the gold accessories.
Looks like a shapeless sack to me and there’s something wrong with the hem.
I dislike the dress it’s horrible ! And the hair its looks like she was playng with her children at home before, and went out with hurry…
I don’t like the look…maybe i am biased bc a few years back Blanchett wore the Lacroix dress for the same event..i mean who and what could compete with that!
