Pace Wu opted for an instantly recognisable colourful look whilst attending the Milk Magazine Ceremony in Taipei, Taiwan, yesterday evening.
The beautiful model/actress wore a Mary Katrantzou Spring 2012 gown.
Her dramatic halter dress with a mixture of prints from florals to pebbles has a pleated sheer sweeping overlay on the right side.
I expected the look to be modified once it hit the red carpet, so kudos to Pace Wu for keeping the look as the designer intended.
Picking the right shoe for a Mary Katrantzou dress has not always been an easy task for celebs, but Pace selected a gorgeous pair of Jimmy Choo metallic magenta pumps.

I love that she wasn’t afraid of a bright shoe because I think a lot of celebs would’ve paired this dress with nude pumps.

Glad she kept the runway version – without the overlay, it would’ve been just another cute address, and she pulls it off with ease, lovely hair and makeup.
My only complaint here is her shoe choice – it’s clearly a delicate sandal dress, the pumps aren’t right for such a light summery dress.

But, if she’s keeping the flowing overlay, I think she should have worn lighter, more summery shoes.
If she had dropped the overlay, the pointy pumps would have worked well for a more tailored effect.

I really like this dress on her. No, I actually love it on her, but unfortunately I don’t like the shoes at all. The colour of the shoes is great, but a simple pair of sandals would have been preferred.
As much as I love this look, I’m questioning her shoes choice. There are so many colors in this Mary Katrantzou piece, I’m not sure why she chose to throw in FAll-like ruby pumps, which adds an unnecessary new color to the mix. Some neon sandals would’ve made this amazing look unbelievable. A+ for the dress, hair and makeup however.
