Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

We couldn’t let the week go by without checking on these leading men..starting with Eddie Redmayne.

Eddie Redmayne: The British actor is the only person, excluding Tom Hiddleston, who can make me consistently swoon upon sight of him in a luxe Polo Ralph Lauren velvet tuxedo. He was by far the best dressed at the 2019 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony, despite him stating that his 8-month son isn’t allowing him time to get much sleep.

Jared Leto: We expected Jared Leto to attend the 2018 LACMA Art + Film Gala, but did we expect this white satin lapel Gucci suit with a matching hat? No, I actually expected more colour from him, so this served as quite a surprise. I have moments when I love this and moments when I want him to remove that hat.

Timothée Chalamet: At the Hollywood Film Awards the young actor wore a sharply tailored Louis Vuitton suit, but I was more intrigued by the embellished shirt, and thankful for shoes over sneakers.

Gavin Warren In Balani & Ryan Gosling In Gucci – ‘First Man’ Washington, DC Premiere

Gavin Warren In Balani & Ryan Gosling In Gucci - ‘First Man’ Washington, DC Premiere

Claire Foy was joined on the red carpet for the ‘First Man’ premiere at the National Air and Space Museum on Thursday (October 4) in Washington, DC, by her co-stars Gavin Warren and Ryan Gosling.

Gavin Warren: The young actor was attending his first premiere, yet his style credentials were very impressive in this Balani suit, with the blue velvet blazer the center-piece of the look.

Ryan Gosling: Almost upstaged by his young co-star, the actor didn’t change a habit of a lifetime in Gucci.  The green and yellow combo was so mesmerizing, especially when stood besides Claire.  I love that he continues to keep things interesting, as we’ve all seen enough black and navy suits to last us a lifetime.

With premieres happening from California to Spain and back again, the men were out to celebrate the movies.

Timothée Chalamet: Continuing the success of his last embroidered suit, the young actor wore an Alexander McQueen Resort 2019 powder-blue suit with cherry-blossom embroidery at the ‘Beautiful Boy’ premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain on Monday (September 24). The McQueen sneakers featured red at the heels, adding a dose of urban edge to the look.

Ryan Gosling: Even though we know how much Ryan loves a burnt-orange suit, he skipped it this time out at the ‘First Man’ photocall on Monday (September 24) during the San Sebastian Film Festival. But, he still rocked the same swagger we love with this retro-mod patterned sweater and navy Gucci suit.

Bradley Cooper: At the LA premiere of ‘A Star is Born’ on Monday (September 24), Bradley also worked his powder-blue angles in this Gucci three-piece suit that had a vintage mood. Christian Louboutin dress shoes completed the look.

Ryan Gosling Loves Burnt Orange Suits

Ryan Gosling Loves His Gucci Suit

While the likes of Timothée Chalamet, Chadwick Boseman, Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston, and most recently Henry Golding are continuing to set the standard when it comes to red carpet menswear, Ryan Gosling is still one of the most stylish men alive.

Because he nails it at every turn.

I noticed that the actor opted to wear a similar version of his burnt orange Gucci suit for the San Sebastian Film Festival premiere of ‘First Man’ on Monday (September 24) in Spain, having worn one during Venice Film Festival.

Why does he manage to make this look work?

It’s a heady mix of bring his own brand of swagger that’s marries ease and elegant, with a sprinkle of retro and modern.

This current vintage style statement is serving him very well, and perhaps it is associated with the movie, or an influence from his girlfriend Eva Mendes.

Do you agree that he is nailing this current look, or do you miss the movie star James Bond-esqe glamour we closely associated him with so long?

It’s time to check in on those men that have been out and about at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival over the past few days.

Robert Pattinson: At the ‘High Life’ premiere, Robert wore a Dior Men by Kim Jones Spring 2019 three-piece suit that had quite the dandy demeanor, especially with the floral dress shirt.

Kit Harington: Looking quite formal, Kit was polished in a Givenchy tuxedo at the ‘The Death and Life of John F. Donovan’ premiere.

Mahershala Ali: Sometimes we roll our eyes at sunglasses on the red carpet, but on this occasion, his Jimmy Choo shades really added some fun, quirky edge to this Ermenegildo Zegna Couture cropped suit at the ‘Green Book’ premiere. That teal pocket square did, too.
