Zoë Kravitz & Stars at Saint Laurent Spring 2027 Show

The Saint Laurent front row was packed with familiar faces and friends of the house for the Spring 2027 collection, which has been widely speculated to be Anthony Vaccarello’s final show after 10 years at the house. Nothing has been confirmed, so I’m keeping that “if” firmly in place, but if this does turn out to be his farewell, I haven’t been this upset about a designer leaving a fashion house since Clare Waight Keller left Givenchy.

Who is expected to replace him?

The name to watch is Chemena Kamali, currently at Chloé. This isn’t a completely random fashion-musical-chairs rumour, as Kamali previously worked at Saint Laurent as women’s ready-to-wear design director under Vaccarello before leaving in 2023.

Multiple fashion-industry reports have linked her with the job, although neither Saint Laurent nor Chloé has confirmed anything.

Where is Anthony Vaccarello going, if he is going?

This is the much bigger mystery, because there doesn’t appear to be another fashion house waiting in the wings.

One possibility being discussed is that he may not immediately move to another label at all. During his Saint Laurent tenure, he established Saint Laurent Productions and became increasingly involved with film. The company co-produced Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez, which went on to win two Oscars, while Saint Laurent Productions was also involved with Jim Jarmusch’s Father Mother Sister Brother, starring Cate Blanchett, which won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. So perhaps cinema will play a larger part in whatever he does next.

But again, that is speculation rather than an announced plan.

Who is going to dress Charlotte Gainsbourg now?

This might be the most important question of all.

The French actress, who performed at the Spring 2027 show, has been such a longstanding Vaccarello muse that I see their relationship in much the same way as Jennifer Connelly and Nicolas Ghesquière at Louis Vuitton.

So if — and I keep saying if because nothing has been confirmed — Vaccarello does move to another house, I can easily imagine Charlotte going wherever he ends up.

The front row was jam-packed, as it always is, but I was surprised that Connor Storrie wasn’t in attendance, considering he is one of the faces of the current Saint Laurent campaign.

The Saint Laurent Girl

Zoë Kravitz feels like the natural place to start. Few celebrities are as closely associated with Saint Laurent under Anthony Vaccarello, and if this really was his final show, it feels fitting that one of his most recognisable ambassadors was there.

Her black guipure-lace two-piece is exactly the kind of look we’ve come to associate with their partnership. It was also one of the less risqué lace looks of the front row, as you will see in the pictures below.

Eddie Redmayne has been M.I.A. from the red carpet for a while, so I was excited to see him back wearing Saint Laurent Fall 2026.

Alex Fine omitted the shirt when he wore the same look to the MobLand Season 2 premiere, but I much prefer Eddie’s full layered version. The striped shirt and tie give the chunky knit something to work against, and this feels far more like Eddie.

New boy Belmont Cameli made his Saint Laurent front row debut, giving us classic Saint Laurent tailoring with a side of chest hair. The sunglasses at night were almost inevitable. Welcome to Saint Laurent, Belmont.

Amber Valletta said free the nipple in Saint Laurent, wearing a sheer lace camisole with a black velvet wrap skirt. Eva Herzigová was equally committed to sheer lace in Saint Laurent, although her look was considerably less revealing. But that could all be down to some clever posing angles.

The French ladies were out in force, with Virginie Efira opting for sleek Saint Laurent tailoring, while Catherine Deneuve surprised me by wearing the same Saint Laurent trench coat we saw Connor Storrie wearing during Men’s Fashion Week.

I love that Catherine went for the coat rather than one of the more expected dresses or suits. She never fails to surprise me.

Hailey Bieber gave us, well, the usual in Saint Laurent. Oversized black tailoring, nothing underneath and sunglasses. Nothing new here.

Zoë Saldaña wasn’t joining the nipple-displaying ladies in the front row, opting instead to cover up with a tailored Saint Laurent jacket.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, on the other hand, was considerably less bashful in Saint Laurent. Her sheer lace look put her firmly on Team Amber, Eva and several others for the night.
