Celebrities Front Row at Balenciaga Spring 2027
Pierpaolo Piccioli presented his Balenciaga Spring 2027 collection on Thursday in front of a packed celebrity front row, bringing together longtime house faces, a few unexpected arrivals and some names I’m very intrigued to see here.

The Perfect Fit
Lauryn Hill might be the person who makes the most sense in this front row. Some will say, yes, but under Demna. However, there is enough edge and plenty of colour in Pierpaolo’s Spring 2027 collection to appeal to Ms Hill, although I suspect she’ll skip the more romantic looks from the opening section.

Redemption?
Shailene Woodley was another person I expected to see in the front row. After the hammering she got for her Balenciaga look at the Emmys, inviting her to Paris and putting her up in a nice hotel was the least they could do.

Drop The Routine, Girl
Of course Lori Harvey arrived with her skin glistening. Drop the skincare routine, girl.
Like many people in this front row, she carried a Balenciaga City bag, which continues to be one of the label’s most recognisable accessories regardless of who is sitting in the creative director’s chair.

From Chanel To Balenciaga?
Havana Rose Liu and Giveon were surprises, as both have had relationships with Chanel for quite some time. I’ll be intrigued to see if anything materialises with Havana and Balenciaga, but Giveon in Balenciaga menswear makes a lot more immediate sense to me.

Woolly Mammoth
I know what you’re thinking: Isabelle Huppert is giving woolly mammoth in these Balenciaga trousers. But the only surprising thing to me is that they’re ivory and not black.

Street Style Wins Again
Sarah Pidgeon’s street style continues to be her most intriguing. After her stunning pink Balenciaga look at the Actors Awards earlier this year, her place in Pierpaolo’s front row was always secured.

Girl, No
Kaya Scodelario, girl, no. Straight no. I’m sorry. This Balenciaga look is not the lane for her.

The Colour Story
Gemma Chan is someone else I didn’t expect to see at Balenciaga, but her look was much more palatable to me. The colour story especially is winning me over.

The Apple Never Falls Far
Deacon Phillippe. I mean, wow. Damn. The apple never falls far from the tree.

The Pierpaolo Connection
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham were, of course, there because of their relationship with Pierpaolo Piccioli, who designed Nicola’s first wedding dress while he was creative director at Valentino.
She also recently wore Balenciaga at the Venice Film Festival, although that particular look didn’t exactly go down well with you.

Premier League Style
As a football fan, I was most excited to see Hugo Ekitiké in the front row. He doesn’t play for my team, Arsenal, but the Liverpool striker is one of the best-dressed men not just in the Premier League, but in football.
This clean, easy Balenciaga look, styled with a Chopard watch, is a glowing endorsement of that statement.

There were plenty more familiar faces in the Balenciaga Spring 2027 front row, as you’ll see below.
