Sienna Miller’s Feathered Streak Continues in Erdem

Sienna Miller continued her love affair with feathers last night while attending HBO’s War New York premiere.

There was a little resistance to her feathered Dilara Fındıkoğlu dress in London, and I have a feeling some of that will carry over to this Erdem Resort 2027 look. Not from me, though. I love this and have nothing but praise for it.

Feathers may be becoming a common thread during this press tour, but I wouldn’t call it thematic dressing. Had War been a remake of Black Swan, we could have that conversation. Here, it feels more like Sienna and her stylist are enjoying the drama they can add to a red carpet look.

And this dress certainly delivers. The contrast between the black satin and oversized white plumes is what makes it for me, especially as they sit low on the skirt rather than taking over the entire dress. The asymmetry also gives the silhouette a looseness that suits Sienna, while the floral detail at the hip is an unexpected finishing touch.

We also need to give her stylist a round of applause for the tailoring. The silhouette was much looser on the runway, but Sienna’s version has been fitted through the bodice and waist, and it makes a huge difference. With all that volume below, the closer fit through the body gives the dress a far more flattering shape.

While I prefer Sienna’s styling with the black sandals, I honestly wouldn’t have been opposed to the socks-and-brogues combination we saw on the runway. It’s quite Sienna Miller-coded – or, more specifically, Sienna Miller-at-Glastonbury-coded – although this press tour suggests she may be moving away from that aesthetic.

If feathers are going to be Sienna’s recurring motif for this press tour, I’m more than happy for her to keep going.
