Brad Pitt Takes Method Dressing Into the Wild
Brad Pitt attended the premiere of his latest film, Heart of the Beast, held in Franklin, Tennessee, with girlfriend Ines de Ramon.
Dressed for the Terrain
Brad wore a camouflage Greg Lauren suit, which feels particularly apt for Heart of the Beast. The film follows a former Navy SEAL and his retired combat dog trying to survive in the Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash, so the military reference and camouflage make sense within the context of the film, meaning we can add him to our other actors who take on method dressing.
Brad loves tailoring, but he’s never been afraid to disrupt the traditional suit formula. Remember that blue velvet Willy Chavarria look from last year that ended up on your WDOTY list? He can take something familiar and push it somewhere unexpected.
I don’t think this Greg Lauren suit is destined for that list this year. I appreciate the connection to the film and the fact that Brad continues to have fun with menswear, but camouflage from head to toe might be a harder sell for some, especially with the worn-in finish. But that is part of Greg Lauren’s aesthetic. Personally, he sold the look to me.
Summer Dress, Autumn Lip
Ines de Ramon wore a Chloé Resort 2027 maxi dress, returning to the fluid, romantic silhouettes she clearly enjoys. We saw this when she wore a chiffon and feathered Chanel dress to the F1: The Movie premiere, and this softer direction continues that trend.
I like this Chloé dress on Ines. The nude tone works beautifully with her colouring, while the lace and sheer layers give it the lightness you want from this style of dress.
My issue is the dark lip. The colour itself works for her, just not with this dress. The dress says summer; the lip says autumn.
And while I would never expect Brad and Ines to coordinate their outfits, there is such a disconnect between these two looks that they appear to be heading to completely different events. His camouflage suit is rugged and tied to the world of the film; her Chloé dress could hardly be further removed from that mood.
