Selena Gomez’s Golden Emmys Moment in Louis Vuitton

Selena Gomez was back on the red carpet for the 2026 Emmy Awards, where Only Murders in the Building, in which she stars and serves as an executive producer, is nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.

It was the hair. I can’t remember the last time I saw Selena with her hair this long on the red carpet. She has been sporting a bob for a while, or wearing her hair slicked back into a bun, so while she was going longer, Zendaya was going shorter. It was a night for new hairstyles, it seems.

The other part of this story is her custom Louis Vuitton bustier dress, covered in all-over gold sequin embroidery. There is an almost futuristic quality to the way the sequins have been arranged in precise horizontal lines, following the contours of the corseted bodice before continuing through the column silhouette.

Louis Vuitton usually creates softer designs for Selena, like her 2025 Emmys gown, so I appreciate seeing something with more edge. The metallic finish and sculpted construction feel like a departure, while still playing to the clean silhouettes she tends to favour.
