Sarah Pidgeon’s Emmys Debut in Custom Chanel

Sarah Pidgeon arrived at the 2026 Emmy Awards as a first-time nominee for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her portrayal of Carolyn Bessette in Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette.

The Chanel ambassador wore a beautiful lilac bias-cut satin dress embellished with a cascade of intertwined gold and silver chains, crystals, gold beads and white and lilac pearls, which immediately took me back to Nicole Kidman’s Practical Magic 2 London premiere look, but the chains are less concentrated here, framing the neckline beautifully and cascading down the back.

I love this shade of lilac on Sarah, and the fluid silhouette feels particularly elegant on her. Matthieu Blazy has really hit his stride with these custom looks for the house ambassadors, as we saw in Venice and now at the Emmys.

Did she need the Chanel High Jewelry Diamant Evanescent Transformable necklace? Not for me. As beautiful as it is, I don’t think it was the right style for a dress that already has so much detail around the neckline. I would have preferred something much subtler.

But honestly, I’m just so happy this wasn’t another nondescript black dress that her choice of jewellery isn’t really a sticking point for me.
