Monica Barbaro Wore Dior To The ‘One Night Only’ New York Premiere

On Monday, Monica Barbaro attended the New York premiere of One Night Only held at the SVA Theater in New York City.

What I love more than anything is when a collection arrives on the red carpet looking even better than it did on the runway, and Monica’s Dior Resort 2027 white silk draped dress is a perfect example.

Firstly, the length. Monica has a clear preference for sleek, floor-length silhouettes, and this version suited her far better than the knee-length runway dress. I’m also relieved we didn’t have to contend with the neckpiece from the runway, much like the leather gloves that distracted from Charlize Theron’s Tom Ford look in Seoul. Without it, the sculptural flower and pale blue feather detail on the shoulder became the focal point instead of competing for attention.

Monica has been moving between celebrity stylists since the 2025 Oscars, and that lack of consistency was reflected in her red carpet style. That Cavalli look still haunts me.

During this press tour, however, she and Elizabeth Saltzman have found a rhythm that plays to Monica’s strengths. The result has been a confident, elegant and occasionally playful run of looks, with this one standing out as her best of 2026.
