Kaia Gerber Wore Valentino To ‘The Shards’ New York Premiere

Kaia Gerber joined Evan Rachel Wood on the red carpet for the world premiere of FX’s The Shards, held at the SVA Theatre in New York on Monday.

The model wore a shimmering sheer Valentino gown featuring a diamond-patterned lattice of crystal embellishments. I appreciate that the lining extends to the hem, allowing the embellishment to remain the focus instead of relying on sheer panels for effect.

This is a silhouette Kaia returns to time and again, and with good reason. The clean column shape, delicate straps and understated styling allow her natural elegance to do the rest. It isn’t the most adventurous look she’s ever worn, but it plays to her strengths and feels entirely effortless.

Sometimes you don’t need to reinvent your red-carpet formula when you already know what works.
