Vicky Krieps’ Love for Texture Takes Centre Stage in Rome

After a quiet first week at the Rome Film Festival, the weekend delivered plenty of fashion moments, including Vicky Krieps, who attended the Riverrun screening.

The Luxembourgish actress wore a Bottega Veneta Fall 2026 leather plissé coat and wool jacket layered over a leather shirt and trousers.

Now this is dressing for the season, with practically every winter fabric accounted for, aside from velvet. And speaking of fabrics, it’s the mix of textures that prevents this all-black ensemble from blending into one. This is exactly the type of all-black look I love, especially those trousers with their combination of intrecciato leather detailing and fringing.

Looks like this are precisely why Vicky is such a great ambassador for Bottega Veneta. As much as I love Julianne Moore’s classic style, Vicky provides the perfect counterpoint. Their approaches to fashion couldn’t be more different, yet together they represent two distinct sides of Louise Trotter’s Bottega Veneta woman.

This is easily my favourite look from the Luxembourgish actress this year.
