Michelle Obama Wore Thom Browne & Celine For The Barack Obama Presidential Center Opening
There were more events surrounding the opening of The Obama Presidential Center this week, which gave us two more looks from Michelle Obama.

Pre-Opening
Michelle wore a custom Celine Spring 2026 dress, adapted to a longer length and styled with her favoured kitten heels. I love how understated this is, with the textured fabric subtly shimmering under the lights.

The simplicity is precisely what makes it so appealing.

Opening Ceremony
I truly adore this moment where Michelle wore Thom Browne.
Firstly, because it feels so modern while remaining entirely fitting for the occasion. The structured jacket, corset and pencil skirt offered a fresh take on ceremonial dressing, while those punchy white pumps gave the look extra impact.
We have seen a similar corset shape before on Hong Chau, where I wasn’t entirely convinced by it, but here it feels completely at home within Thom Browne’s tailoring.

And then we get this image, which is one of the pictures of the year. What I love most is how former President George W. Bush always seems to position himself next to Michelle. Their friendship continues to be one of the most unexpectedly endearing political relationships.
It is also worth noting that former First Lady Jill Biden wore a Schiaparelli suit for the occasion.
