Celebrities at the ‘Brunello, The Gracious Visionary’ Film New York Screening
Brunello Cucinelli hosted a special gala screening of Brunello: The Gracious Visionary in New York, following the Rome premiere back in December. The film offers a moving and original look at the extraordinary life and career of the man behind his namesake brand.
Effortless Shirt, Elevated Shine
Katie Holmes, who was giving her new blonder hair its red carpet debut, and Grace Gummer had the same idea in terms of their Brunello Cucinelli simple shirt with dazzling maxi skirt look.
Rather than inviting comparison, this pairing speaks to one of the house’s most reliable formulas: understated tailoring up top, paired with high-impact texture below. The crisp shirt tempers the shimmer, allowing the look to land as high glamour without feeling overdone.
Classic Tailoring, Personal Twists
You can’t beat a satin lapel suit, especially a shawl lapel, which is why you will find me swooning over Oscar Isaac’s classic Brunello Cucinelli tux.
But it would be remiss for me not to also compliment the tailoring of Jay Ellis’ Brunello Cucinelli velvet tux, even though brown and black as a combination aren’t a natural fit for me. His charm, however, along with the precision of the cut, carries the look with ease.

Silver Sirens
Allison Williams and Sarah Catherine Hook were silver sirens in Brunello Cucinelli. Allison took a more understated route in satin, while Sarah gave us a light-catching finish that delivered a stronger visual impact.
A Nostalgic Pairing
While I am not a fan of Joshua Jackson’s red and grey pairing, I am feeling very nostalgic about this Pacey and Joey reunion.
Borrowed-From-The-Boys
Naomi Watts opted out of the glamour gowns worn by her peers for this Brunello Cucinelli tux, with an oversized jacket that had a borrowed-from-the-boys feel to it.
