Meghan, Duchess of Sussex Wore Karen Gee For The Royal Children’s Hospital

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, visited the Royal Children’s Hospital today in Melbourne, Australia, as part of a four-day visit across Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. While this is not an official royal tour, given their current status, the structure and styling of this visit strongly echo one.

Right down to Meghan’s decision to wear an Australian designer, stepping out in Karen Gee’s Priscilla dress.

For the longest time, I have struggled to connect with Meghan’s looks with fit, proportion, and a seemingly lack of knowing what suits her body type being the continual issues, but much to my delight, none of those concerns apply here. This is easily one of her most elegant outings to date.

The clean lines of the sleeveless, double-breasted midi dress work in her favour, while the gold buttons provide just enough visual interest. It feels appropriate, polished, and – most importantly – well-executed.

The nod to the country she is visiting clearly resonated with the designer, who shared on Instagram: “Seeing Meghan, Duchess of Sussex step out in Karen Gee on day one of her return to Australia felt deeply personal. Since her first visit in 2018, a genuine relationship has grown, so to see her choose the brand again means a great deal. The look was styled with her go-to Cartier Love yellow-gold bracelet, Cartier Tank Française timepiece, and Dior Dioressence black pumps, keeping the accessories in line with the clean, refined direction of the outfit.
