‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ London Screening
Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy joined Nicola Coughlan for The Magic Faraway Tree London screening earlier today, where they play the parents in the film.

Storybook knit, Character-Coded
Andrew Garfield wore an S.S.DALEY Cyril knit cardigan that feels quietly in tune with the film’s tone. The pastoral motifs and soft texture echo the woodland setting and sense of escapism, giving his look a subtle narrative link without leaning too literal. It’s relaxed for the screening, but still thoughtful.

Mixed layers, missing cohesion
Claire Foy’s Acne Studios lace-trimmed cotton midi dress, which could easily be mistaken for two separate pieces, didn’t land as successfully as her co-stars. I want to blame the boots, but the issue runs deeper. The layering feels disjointed, with the proportions and styling not quite connecting. I was on board with Claire’s more experimental direction, but this just terrible. It didn’t need to mirror the whimsy of her co-stars, but a clearer point of view or sharper styling would have helped bring this together.
