Penelope Cruz Wore Chanel To ‘The Bride!’ London Premiere

Penelope Cruz joined her co-star Jessie Buckley and director Maggie Gyllenhaal for the world premiere of The Bride! held at Cineworld Leicester Square in London this evening, rounding out a trio of black looks.

Considering this marked Penelope’s first premiere as a Chanel ambassador under Matthieu Blazy’s creative direction, it was a foregone conclusion that the Spanish actress would wear a custom design.

The silhouette is streamlined and classic, but there is enough shimmer to evoke the red carpet glamour I was hoping for. I especially love the red feathered stole, first seen during the Chanel Pre Fall 2026 show, which transformed what could have been a straightforward sequined gown into something far more striking. Against the black sequins, the vivid red read like a nod to Old Hollywood drama, the kind of bold colour contrast that lets me know she still understands the power of a grand entrance.

Did I want a bit more? I think I did, but I always do with Penelope. That said, I am not mad at this outing at all.
