What we gleaned from The Bride! London photocall is that Hamnet Jessie Buckley and The Bride! Jessie Buckley are essentially two different style personalities, much to our delight.

However, some of you might be pumping the brakes when you see the Irish actress in this Maison Margiela Spring 2024 Haute Couture gown because it’s sheer and the underpinnings are clearly visible. But within Galliano’s world, exposure is not about provocation; it is about process. The corsetry is not hidden because it is meant to be seen. The structure becomes the story. The dress lays bare its construction, turning what would traditionally be concealed into the focal point. That tension between fragility and structure is central to his Artisanal language.

I must admit I was not convinced she was selling the look at first in some of the earlier images. But once I saw this clearer, head-on shot, it clicked.

If you think this is extreme, I urge you to revisit Jessie’s style file. Within the broader arc of her red carpet history, this feels less like a shock and more like a natural extension of her appetite for fashion that challenges expectations.
