Gwendoline Christie Wore Saint Laurent To The 2026 BAFTA Invest in Talent Gala
Gwendoline Christie attended the 2026 BAFTA Invest in Talent Gala held at The Chancery Rosewood in London last night.

The actress rarely plays by gala rules, and this Saint Laurent Spring 2026 look felt entirely in step with that instinct, doubling down on an assertive, androgynous silhouette that suits her stature.
We are used to seeing her in menswear, but not with this level of volume. The trench coat with its pronounced shoulders easily overwhelm someone else. On her, the proportions feel considered rather than excessive.
You may remember that Alexander Skarsgård wore a look from the same collection but opted out of the shoulder pads, so seeing her lean into the full runway drama and carry it with ease is satisfying on first impression.
Then there is the colour story. Mustard, burgundy, chocolate brown and dusty rose should clash, yet the richness of each tone, keeps it cohesive and distinctly her own.
Is it traditionally gala appropriate? Not exactly. But Christie has never been interested in conventional red carpet codes, and that is precisely why this works.
Stylist: Katie Grand.
