Teyana Taylor Wore Tamara Ralph Couture To The 2026 Costume Designers Guild Awards
Teyana Taylor was honoured with the Vanguard Spotlight Award at the 2026 Costume Designers Guild Awards last night, recognising her range across acting, directing, choreography and creative work in film and beyond.

The One Battle After Another actress stepped out in a vibrant shade of pink, wearing a Tamara Ralph Spring 2026 Couture look that ranks among her most commanding red carpet looks of this year.
The sculpted, high-shine breastplate creates a sculptural, almost armour-like finish, while the draped satin skirt falls into a fluid, floor-sweeping silhouette. I love how the contrast between structure and softness captures the duality of her style in a single look.
However, I am sure some of your déjà vu alarm bells were ringing, because mine were too.
The colour and lacquered breastplate instantly recalled Zendaya’s Tom Ford look at the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards. The reference is hard to ignore, but the execution shifts the mood. Where that moment leaned futuristic, this interpretation feels more couture-led, with the draped detailing and elongated skirt adding a romantic finish.
For an award celebrating creative versatility, this choice feels entirely on message.
Stylists: Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald.
