Alicia Vikander Wore Simkhai To The Gothenburg Film Festival
Alicia Vikander made her first red carpet appearance of the year at the opening of the Gothenburg Film Festival in Sweden on Friday.
Opting not to wear Louis Vuitton, as she often does for film festivals, the Swedish actress chose a Simkhai Iridessa embellished lattice bustier gown from the Resort 2026 collection.
The chocolate hue is beautiful on her, and the embellishments stopped the lattice work from veering into beach cover up territory.
The styling remained characteristically restrained. Jimmy Choo Jenn sandals (a design which was first made for Jennifer Aniston), a light touch of gold jewellery, and her go to partially braided hairstyle completed her look.
For a film festival opening, this struck the right note. Elegant without feeling overworked, and confident without pushing for impact, it allowed the occasion to lead.
