Archival pulls are now commonplace on the red carpet, but this Anna Sui Fall 1998 embellished slip dress carries a clear personal context. Chase is Anna Sui’s niece, which makes this appearance less about trend cycling and more about direct family connection.
The look itself leans into a folkloric aesthetic. The faux fur trim, muted sage tone, and fine embellishment reference winter dressing as evening wear, which felt particularly relevant given the setting in Park City.
I love that there is no attempt to modernise or reinterpret the design. The dress appears as originally shown on the runway, with the matching headwear and fur trim intact.
Arriving in an Anna Sui fun fur coat simply made the look feel even more seasonally complete.
