She wore a Valentino red gown designed by Valentino Garavani himself, hailing from his Fall 2003 Haute Couture collection — a true piece of fashion history. The silk chiffon gown, layered and tied at the shoulders and waist, radiated with combination. It was a reminder of how beautiful simplicity can be when rendered through couture craftsmanship by one of the greats.

Valentino Red has always been a signature colour for the house — not in the overexposed Valentino PP Pink Pierpaolo Piccioli way, but a shade with a precise mix of carmine, purple, and pink tones that’s been part of the brand’s DNA since Garavani’s early designs in the 1960s. The designer himself once said red represents passion, love, and confidence — and that a woman in red is “always the centre of attention.”

That certainly rang true for Anne at this event. With her hair slicked back and a perfectly matched red lip, she was the picture of elegance. Bvlgari jewels added a touch of sparkle, completing a look that celebrated Valentino’s legacy through one of his favourite muses.
