When you think of ALO, the mind jumps to three things: sleek activewear, off-duty longwear, and yoga mats. Bags? Not so much. And yet, here we are with ALO launching a Luxe Bag Collection that’s already making the streets of New York its runway.

Katie styled hers with a classic trench—giving practical chic for fall.

Emily kept it travel-ready, stacking the black duffel neatly on her luggage.

Amelia went all in on athleisure, slinging the smaller Daily Voyage as she darted around the city.

On first glance, the bags look clean, minimal, and sturdy—the kind of accessory you could take from Pilates to Paris with ease. But then I saw the price tag: $3,600 for the large, $3,300 for the small.

Now, I’m all for investing in pieces that work overtime. But let’s be real—this is more expensive than Gucci’s Giglio bag and edging into Saint Laurent ICARINO territory. If I’m dropping over $3K on a bag, I want the heritage, the house codes, the designer storytelling that comes with it.

Sure, ALO’s leather is probably as buttery as their leggings are stretchy, but the price is hard to ignore. Functional? Yes. Fashion-forward? Possibly. Worth Saint Laurent money? That’s where I kinda hesitate, even though the bags have been handcrafted in Florence from responsibly sourced leather.
