Laura Carmichael Wore Harris Reed To The ‘Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale’ World Premiere
We’re saying farewell to Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale as the castle closes its doors for the last time, with tonight’s world premiere at ODEON Luxe Leicester Square. Laura Carmichael was front and centre for the occasion.

The actress floated down the red carpet wearing a Harris Reed Spring 2025 gown of delicate white lace and unapologetically draped black velvet that instantly attention, and commanded space. This isn’t your throw-on-and-go kinda gown; it’s the kind that demands poise, angles, and perhaps a diploma from the Coco Rocha Institute of Red Carpet Poses. Laura, to her credit, looked like she graduated top of the class.
Fashion lovers will instantly remember that Zoe Saldana wore this same gown back in October at the Academy Museum Gala. Normally, I’m not a fan of reruns—there are endless gowns from the recent runways and in archives.
However, I think that for something like a world premiere, there should be a strong element of exclusivity. That being said, an event like the Academy Museum Gala is probably only familiar to fashion lovers, so on a global scale this will be the first time many people are seeing this gown—and what a stunning gown it is, even if I still catch a hint of the iconic Ghostface mask from Scream in the design.
And that Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Leaves necklace? Lady Edith Crawley would approve.
