Tilda Swinton & Haider Ackermann Celebrate Tom Ford’s Black Orchid Reserve

To celebrate the new Tom Ford Black Orchid Reserve fragrance campaign starring Tilda Swinton, Creative Director Haider Ackermann hosted an intimate dinner at the breathtaking Palazzo Contarini Polignac in Venice.

Tilda and Ackermann’s creative partnership is the stuff of fashion legend. Their history together has given us some of the most unforgettable red carpet looks of the past decade: the sharp blue suit at the 2021 Cannes photocall for The French Dispatch, that jaw-dropping orange-and-pink premiere look, and the striking pale blue look at the 2012 Golden Globes, to name a few. And now, they’ve added a new chapter—this time, wrapped in the sultry aura of Black Orchid Reserve.

Debuting on today, the campaign is as cinematic as you’d expect. Shot by Inez and Vinoodh, it captures Tilda in motion—fluid, enigmatic, commanding—embodying the fragrance’s positioning as a study in rarity. Think quiet power, stillness turned into spectacle, and beauty that defies convention.

As for the scent itself, Black Orchid Reserve builds on Tom Ford’s iconic 2006 launch. The twist? The introduction of the Ghost Orchid, a rare and elusive bloom captured at the exact moment it opens, thanks to headspace technology. The result is a decadent white floral that cuts through Black Orchid’s signature dark spice and depth—a contrast as bold as Swinton herself.

Naturally, the dinner was a who’s who of Tom Ford’s world. Alongside Swinton and Ackermann, guests included Farida Khelfa, Kate Moss, Paris Jackson, Indya Moore, Saskia de Brauw, Noomi Rapace, and more—all dressed in Tom Ford, each adding their own note to the evening’s symphony of style.

In true Tom Ford fashion, it wasn’t just a launch—it was a moment. And with Swinton at its centre, Black Orchid Reserve already feels like a future classic.
