The gown instantly sparked déjà vu—midnight blue, floor-sweeping, with balloon sleeves that made me think of Alicia Vikander’s recent Louis Vuitton outing. Alicia’s strapless gown had that easy openness, while Stacy’s version leans heavier, almost weighted down by the sleeves.

My second thought was that this design reads a touch more “grande dame” than fresh ingénue, which makes me wish Nicolas had gone sleeveless—it would have lightened the mood and lifted the whole silhouette. Do you agree?
