Eve Hewson Wore Schiaparelli Haute Couture To The ‘Jay Kelly’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

After giving us summer florals at the photocall, Eve Hewson did a complete 180 for the Jay Kelly Venice Film Festival premiere.

The light, playful retro mood was swapped out for something entirely darker, stepping into gothic romance territory with a Schiaparelli Fall 2025 Haute Couture sculpted bustier dress.

This was no ordinary strapless dress — the structure, intensified by gathered tulle conical pleats, created a sharp, almost architectural silhouette. I have a feeling the central pleat will divide opinion, and admittedly it does push the line of being one detail too many. But that boldness is exactly what makes it stand out on a carpet where safe choices so often dominate.

The styling sealed the mood. Slicked-back hair, a deep mauve lip, and pared-back accessories made sure the focus stayed on the drama of the gown itself.

This is easily one of my favourite looks of the festival so far. Gothic, daring, and beautifully executed.
