Celebrities at the 2025 Las Culturistas Culture Awards
Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang created the Las Culturistas Culture Awards to celebrate bizarre yet iconic moments in pop culture — from the Filet Mignon Award for Best Beef, featuring nominees like ribeye, Miss Piggy’s ninja defence, and Hilary Duff vs Faye Dunaway, to Best Vibe, Hands Down, which includes Japan (All), the Spirit Tunnel (The Jennifer Hudson Show), Top Chef: Canada, Seth Meyers, and Doechii.

Serving summer
Mindy Kaling brought the sunshine in a playful two-piece from Khoon Hooi, accented with a blooming calla flower detail at the neckline. It’s the kind of effortless, feminine ensemble that feels right in her style sweet spot—whimsical, flattering, and confident. I know this was a more laidback event, but this style approach suits her so much better than some of the looks she gives us for more formal carpets. She kept the accessories minimal with a B.P. de Silva jewels and ivory satin sandals.

Valentino, but make it camp and climate-defiant
Bowen Yang doesn’t shy away from a bold red carpet moment, and this was no exception. He stood out in a deep red suede Valentino Pre-Fall 2025 suit—a bold choice for July. Styled with a cream frilled shirt and studded black shoes, it gave historical drama with a modern twist. The exaggerated collar was pure theatre and totally fitting for the host of an event that celebrates high-concept humour and pop culture absurdity.

Disco ball meets Boogie Nights
Alison Brie served up a retro-meets-modern vibe in a silver Rabanne chainmail mini dress, styled with a matching chain bag and silver platforms. But it was her blown-out hair—part Farrah, part glam rock—that brought the whole look into full throwback territory. The styling was so right, the energy was playful, keeping her week on the red carpet very consistent.

Underrated king of quiet tailoring wins again
Dave Franco in a pale blue suit was exactly the understated, summery menswear moment I needed. The cut was razor sharp, the colour fresh, and even the black shoes didn’t take away from the look’s impact. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—this man deserves a full press tour. At this point, I’d even settle for a multi-look New York press junket. He knows what works for him, and he wears it with such ease and cool that it rarely gets the appreciation it deserves.

Christian Siriano, cancan-core edition
If there was ever a red carpet moment to inspire you to book that wax or your tickets to Moulin Rouge, it’s Allison Janney in Christian Siriano. The look was giving red carpet cabaret—but she wore it with such self-assurance that it never felt like a costume. This was fun, fabulous, and right on cue for this kind of playful event.

Bedazzled, be-sequinned, and beyond
At this point, we can spot an AMIRI look from a mile away — I mean, who else is creating such flamboyant, intricately detailed, retro-inspired suits like this? Benito Skinner’s charisma, combined with those sparkling embellishments, is truly shining through.

Head-To-Toe Leather?
Speaking of AMIRI, Jeff Goldblum knows the brand well—he wore the turquoise version of Benito’s suit to the Golden Globes. This time he opted for a leather moto jacket and trousers that felt more rebel than red carpet, but with Jeff, it just works. It’s that intangible Goldblum factor that makes even the most unexpected style choices feel somehow inevitable.

Top half perfection, but that slit…
Quinta Brunson brought out the drama with a stunning beaded bodice that twinkled like a constellation. But I found myself wishing the skirt had either a different silhouette or ditched the centre slit altogether. The look was so close to being a total knockout, but that detail disrupted the visual flow. Still, her hair, makeup and overall presence carried the look with her usual charm.
