Tyla Wore Zoraide Polidori & Telfar For Maaya Berlin
Tyla made sure all eyes were on her as she arrived at Maaya Berlin, where she took to the main stage to perform her hits. But before the music even started, her outfit had already done plenty of talking.

Known for blending Afro-futurism, Y2K nostalgia, and a dash of fearless modernity, the South African singer delivered a look that hit every note. The standout piece? A cropped Zoraide Polidori Lego Love jacket. With its primary red, yellow and blue palette, exaggerated shoulders, and sharp graphic lines, it gave pure ’80s cartoon-coded glam rock—a superhero in high fashion form.

Underneath the power jacket, Tyla balanced structure with ease in a draped, plunging white top that offered a soft contrast to the jacket’s punchy silhouette. The top was paired with ultra-short frayed Telfar Poom Poom denim cut-offs, injecting that raw, off-duty cool that’s become a signature of her stage-ready wardrobe.
The only element I wasn’t fully sold on was the black lace-up peep-toe Alaïa heels—they felt a little too heavy against the rest of the look. A strappy sandal might’ve kept the mood lighter.
Still, there’s no denying this was a playful collision of retro and now. The colourblock jacket delivered maximum throwback drama, the denim added just the right touch of downtown grit, and the top kept it grounded in effortless femininity. Tyla’s ability to dip into different decades never fails to surprise me.
You may not love this, but you can’t deny that is is unmistakably her.
