Gillian Anderson Wore Emilia Wickstead To ‘The Mastermind’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere
Gillian Anderson gave us something a little different for The Mastermind premiere at Cannes, and I’m fully on board with this delightful plot twist. The L’Oréal ambassador and seasoned red carpet fixture, known for gravitating toward darker, moodier tones, veered off-script this time.

Wearing an Emilia Wickstead Pre-Fall 2025 gown, the green floral embossed cloqué fabric is truly the star here. It felt like a modern take on regal dressing, with the square neckline and corsetry-inspired bodice offering just the right balance of structure and grace.
While many at Cannes are in a race to out-bling one another, Gillian chose restraint. A pendant diamond necklace was her only real accessory—quiet by Cannes standards, but no less dazzling. Subtle? Maybe. Effective? Absolutely.
This is the kind of elegance that doesn’t beg for the spotlight, but holds it anyway. A breath of fresh air and a standout moment for Gillian.
