‘Vie Privée’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup
Cannes Film Festival is no stranger to jaw-dropping fashion, but when models take over a red carpet, it becomes a runway — and the Vie Privée premiere was proof of that. From dramatic feathered gowns to glittering gold fringes, this was less a movie screening and more a masterclass in serving looks. Other celebrities sprinkled in the mix held their own, but let’s be honest — the models came, posed, and conquered.

Feathered, fabulous, and fit for a (Monaco) princess
You can always rely on Elsa Hosk to deliver an haute couture fairytale, and this custom AZ Couture moment was peak Cannes glamour. The pastel creamy hue gave us vintage Hollywood realness, but it was the feathered hemline and that retro side-swept Grace Kelly updo that sent us swooning. Topped off with Chopard jewels, Elsa gave us timeless elegance.

When Barbie meets Balenciaga
Eva Herzigova’s hot pink custom Balenciaga Fall 2022 Haute Couture gown made a bold entrance, and if you’re having déjà vu, you’re not alone — Taylor Russell wore the green version to the Bones & All Venice premiere back in 2022. But this pink? It screamed Barbie-core, with a heavy dose of Valentino PP Pink vibes. The black opera gloves were a dramatic touch we expected, but that choker-style necklace didn’t work.

Simply Chic
Ellie Goulding wore a chocolate brown Anamika Khanna draped dress. I love the flowing scarf detail cascading down her back like a whisper of old Hollywood glamour. She didn’t over-accessorise, and it paid off.

The bold & the Backless
Izabel Goulart knows how to make a grand entrance, and in Armani Privé Fall 2018, she did just that. The gold and black velvet combo had regal energy, but it was the open back that sealed the deal — sleek, sensual, and classic Izabel. Add in some Chopard sparkle and she was statuesque perfection.

Prada LBD
Joséphine Japy wore black Prada gown. The embellishments were intriguing, but the bodice looked like it needed some finissing. With cleaner lines, this could’ve been a standout.

Dynasty called…
Mariska Hargitay stepped back into the Cannes spotlight in a Georges Chakra gown that was pure ‘80s soap opera queen — think Joan Collins vacationing in the South of France. The silhouette, the shine, the shoulder — it was bold and campy, and paired with Pomellato jewels, it was a little dated for me.

Fringe benefits
Romee Strijd sparkled in a gold fringed Atelier Emé strapless gown, channelling high-glam goddess energy. This look swayed with every step, proving that fringe is still a red carpet power move. Hair up, confidence high — this was a Cannes classic.

Caped crusader
Toni Garrn brought the drama in a look that was half goddess, half superhero. Dressed in an embellished Elie Saab Haute Couture bustier and flared trousers, it was the cape stole the show.
