Naomi Osaka’s Pre-US Open Style Is Developing a Theme

The anticipation continues to build ahead of Naomi Osaka’s US Open match against Anastasia Zakharova on Sunday, August 30, as the tennis star shared another pre-match look on Instagram.

I’m detecting a ruched theme, judging by this aqua-blue De La Vali Eulalia gathered chiffon mini dress and the archival Dolce & Gabbana dress she wore yesterday.

Aside from this stunning shade of blue, it’s the accessories that really sell this look for me. Naomi never neglects to give us a full fit from head to toe, and this time she added fuzzy aqua-blue Bottega Veneta Cozy mules and a burgundy shoulder bag decorated with floral charms.

I especially love the unexpected contrast of the burgundy against the blue. It shouldn’t be the obvious pairing, yet it gives the whole look so much more personality.

And even the tennis racquets continue to be part of the styling conversation.
