Alexa Chung Wore Celine To The ‘Eddington’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Alexa Chung attended the Eddington premiere during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival this evening.

If you’d told me that black would become the colour of choice for a summer festival, I would’ve said, “say it ain’t so.” Yet, here we are. But in Alexa’s case, it doesn’t feel like a concession to Cannes’ new “black attire encouraged” guideline—she’s always been partial to an LBD moment.

This time, she reached for a Celine bustier dress with crinoline volume, giving us Victorian drama reimagined for the 21st century. It’s all very moody debutante with a side of fashion girl edge.

As for the styling, I know wet-look hair continues to divide opinion, but let’s focus on those stunning Boucheron earrings instead, shall we? They were doing most of the heavy lifting in the beauty department, along with her signature cat-eye makeup.

It’s classic Alexa—cool, a little off-beat, and very much marching to the beat of her own style drum.
