Halle Berry Wore Chanel To The Cannes Film Festival Jury Photocall

Halle Berry started strong this week, looking radiant at the Cannes Film Festival jury dinner in Alexandre Vauthier. It felt like a step in the right direction — a little shimmer, a touch of drama, nothing trying too hard. But at today’s Jury photocall, things got a bit too buttoned up for my liking.

Wearing a Chanel Pre-Fall 2025 tweed suit, Halle looked sharp, but the vibe was more Paris boardroom than sunny photocall at Cannes. And when you see her lined up next to Juliette Binoche in her breezy Jacquemus lemon suit — the contrast is glaring. Strict isn’t a word I want to use at Cannes, and this felt a little too stuffy for the moment.

That said, I am very grateful she edited out the leather over-the-knee boots. Small wins.

There’s still time, though. I’m holding out hope for a return to form with something in the Tamara Ralph realm — remember last year’s gold goddess moment? That’s the level I need from her for the opening ceremony. Halle’s never been one to play it safe for long, so fingers crossed this photocall look is just a brief pause before the wow moments start rolling in.
