Halle Berry In Sebastian Gunawan Couture – 2019 Costume Designers Guild Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Halle Berry In Ruth E Carter - 2019 Costume Designers Guild Awards

The Costume Designers Guild celebrated a year of outstanding work in film and television at the Beverly Hilton on Tuesday (February 19) for its annual awards show in LA.

The ceremony honoured ‘Black Panther’ costume designer Ruth E. Carter, who was given a career achievement award, which was presented by Halle Berry.

Halle wore a Wakanda-inspired custom gold strapless intricately woven Sebastian Gunawan Couture design which looked like it was taken off the ‘Black Panther’ movie set.

Styled with Brian Atwood’s ‘Alexi’ bronzed sandals, this is the first time in a long while that I can say I love a Halle Berry look from head-to-toe. But a part of me also wishes this was saved for Beyonce Knowles.

I feel this look needed a little bit more attitude.

Halle Berry In Elie Saab – BET ‘Boomerang’ LA Premiere

It’s safe to say that the majority aren’t fans of Halle Berry’s style as she was voted one of your least favourites on the red carpet in 2018, and her Golden Globes gown was met with overwhelming disappointment.

The actress was back on the red carpet for BET’s ‘Boomerang’ LA premiere on Monday (February 11) in North Hollywood, California, wearing one of her favourite designers; Elie Saab.

We always love it when a stars make look their own, but I can’t say I’m a fan of Halle’s decision to take the scarf and make it a neck-tie. It seems a total odds with the gorgeous beaded and embroidered Spring 2019 dress.

Halle Berry In Zuhair Murad Couture – 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Halle Berry In Zuhair Murad Couture - 2019 Golden Globe Awards

For many, it will be like Groundhog’s Day with Halle Berry at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 6) in Beverly Hills, California.

As a presenter, she ensured all eyes were directed her way in this Zuhair Murad Fall 2018 Couture gown that checked the boxes on her favourite red-carpet trends: sheer, slits, and sex appeal.

Now, this dress didn’t go so far as her infamous Reem Acra entrance last year. But, it did leave little to the imagination, especially from the back. Not that the the ageless beauty doesn’t have the body for it, because she does.

Halle Berry In Aadnevik – 2019 Pirelli Calendar Launch Gala

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the Halle Berry In Aadnevik - 2019 Pirelli Calendar Launch Gala

Halle Berry joined Gigi Hadid and Julia Garner for the 2019 Pirelli Calendar Launch Gala on Wednesday (December 5) at the Pirelli Hangar Bicocca in Milan on Wednesday.

To toast the 46th edition of the iconic calendar, she donned an Aadnevik Spring 2018 dress with colour-coordinated Le Silla pumps.

While Gigi and Julia opted for black looks, Halle was seeing the light in this petal-pink, patterned gown that oozed with innocent-meets-sultry vibes.

There were also strong hints of the boudoir in the soft, flowy silhouette and colour palette — so you could say it was made for a Pirelli gala, even if it felt slightly more languid in form.

Halle Berry In ADEAM 2018 GLAAD Media Awards Los Angeles

Halle Berry was back on the red carpet at the 2018 GLAAD Media Awards Los Angeles on Thursday (April 12), joining Britney Spears.

After a risqué turn at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, I thought she might go in that direction again for the event.

There’s still plenty of leg on reveal with her Adeam Fall 2017 skirt. Plus, the wrap top’s open neckline exposes a glimpse of shoulder.

But, it’s tempered with the longer rolled sleeves and brown utilitarian fabric.

A Maxior diamond ring and Stella Luna Flat Bow sandals dressed up the pieces, but dare I say that the ensemble feels a bit drab. I like the military feel and asymmetrical silhouettes but this muted brown fabric doesn’t feel formal enough for the occasion. It also doesn’t flatter her complexion in the way it should.

A rich chocolate brown or bronze would have been more successful.

Halle Berry In Zuhair Murad Couture – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Halle Berry opted for a short silhouette at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4) in Beverly Hills, joining Ciara, Kate Bosworth and Emma Roberts.

The beauty looked ageless in her Zuhair Murad Spring 2018 Couture mini. The style revealed plenty of skin with the sheer fabrication and open front but the nakedness was tempered slightly by the embellishment and long sleeves.

I’m in favour of celebrities playing around with different silhouettes and think that she looks sensational in the dress, but methinks it is still too casual for the occasion, especially with the exposed underwear.

What do you think?
