Alba Rohrwacher Wore Jil Sander To The Cannes Film Festival Jury Dinner

Alba Rohrwacher joined fellow jury member Halle Berry at the Cannes Film Festival jury dinner on Monday, and if you’ve been craving a break from the usual overt glam, this one’s for you.

The Italian actress’ style has always felt more at home in the pages of Cahiers du Cinéma — think intellectual, unconventional, and quietly impactful. But with this Jil Sander Fall 2025 look, she served up a dish of Arthouse Chic, seasoned with a curious mix of sequins, wool, lace, organza and leather.

This is classic pre-Dior Alba — a little bit oddball, a little bit genius, and very much herself. I’ve missed this side of her. The personality. The texture. The refusal to play it safe.

Yes, the black shoes verge on clunky, but they somehow complete the look in that offbeat, “I dress for me” kind of way. And honestly, I would not have minded the runway white boots. Even the white Simkhai clutch — which could’ve easily jarred — worked seamlessly within the eclectic rhythm of the outfit.

With Karla Welch now styling her, I’m truly intrigued. If her work with Greta Gerwig from last years festival was anything to go by, we’re in for a clever, character-driven fashion journey — and Alba is exactly the right canvas.
