Celebrities at the 2025 DGA Awards
The 2025 Directors Guild of America Awards brought plenty of fashion moments. While Demi Moore, Ali Wong, Elle Fanning, Colman Domingo, and Maude Apatow may have grabbed early attention, there were plenty of other attendees who deserve a moment in the spotlight.
Keeping It Classic
Mikey Madison loves to dangle a red carrot under our noses, only to retreat back into her now well-established signature understated style.
KseniaBB perfectly summed it up in the comments: “Mikey is demure, demure. I am coming to appreciate her style by meeting her where she is.” And you know what? Same. A month ago, I would have been questioning why she opted for this ultra-simple white shirt and black maxi skirt from The Row’s Summer 2025 collection. But now? I get it. The minimalism, the subtle elegance, and the pop of colour—it’s all very Mikey. It took me a minute, but I’m fully on board.

Tailoring Woes
Ayo Edebiri stepped out in a Khaite Pre-Fall 2025 aubergine dress, but something got lost in translation. The look book version featured an intriguing layered effect, but on Ayo, it was tailored into a drop-waist dress that lost much of its original charm.
Better grooming and sharper tailoring might have elevated this, but this could be a case of commercial (Ayo’s version) vs. original (look book), and the original wins hands down.

Playful Polka Dots
Zoe Saldana’s fun and playful approach to the red carpet continues with this Nina Ricci strapless chiffon mini dress from the Spring 2025 collection. I love how the polka dots add a touch of whimsy.
