Vogue x NBC x LVMH Prelude Cocktail Event: Dior Edition
On Thursday evening, the fashion world turned its eyes to Paris for the Vogue x NBC x LVMH Prelude cocktail event, set against the backdrop of the upcoming 2024 Olympics opening ceremony. Following the guests who were dressed in Louis Vuitton, here is a look at everyone who wore Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Dior creations.
A Vision in White
Judging by the comments, you are kind over Charlize Theron’s Dior blazer, bralet and midi skirt Dior “uniform,” so you will be happy to see how she stole the spotlight in a pristine Dior Haute Couture white silk mini dress. The South African actress, known for her minimalist style, looked radiant with the cascading train bring a dramatic flair to her look. The clean and crisp aesthetic was complemented by gold accessories, a trending choice for the night, including a Dior bag, strappy sandals, Bois de Rose and Rose Dior Bagatelle rings, and a Couture Dior earring and bracelet in white gold and diamonds from Dior Joaillerie.
A Missed Opportunity
Rosalía’s choice for the evening, a Dior Resort 2025 embroidered gold knit dress, didn’t work for me. The shade of gold seemed off for the fiery singer, and the design didn’t do justice to her vibrant personality. While the attempt to infuse sex appeal into Dior with Rosalía is evident, it didn’t quite hit the mark as this dress failed to capture her edgy essence, which I feel is consistently subdued on the red carpet. Considering that the Resort 2025 was edgy, by Dior’s standards, selecting from this collection should have been an easy one for her.
Golden Elegance
Internationally acclaimed pianist Gina Alice graced the red carpet alongside her husband, Lang Lang. Embracing the gold theme of the night, she wore a Dior Resort 2025 gold silk dress, exuding elegance and sophistication. Her ensemble was perfectly accessorized with a gold and leather Dior bag, enhancing the luxurious feel of her look which brought classical grace to the event.
