Greta Gerwig Wore Oscar de la Renta To The Clooney Foundation for Justice’s ‘The Albies’ 

I don’t want to say “finally,” because in fairness to Greta Gerwig, she had an amazing run during her promo tour for ‘Barbie.’

Yet, seeing the director on the red carpet for the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s The Albies held at the New York Public Library on Thursday (September 28), in this Oscar de la Renta gown was refreshing. 

Some might argue that Greta has replaced her menswear inspired tailoring for this cape silhouette, but at least with this silhouette we are seeing a variety of styles and colours.

I’m sure you instantly recognised the pattern and colours of the floral embellishments, as we have seen them on a sleeveless version of this dress worn by Ariana DeBose back in 2022 for the TIME Gala.

Ariana’s dress was worn with only shorts creating the illusion of a naked feel, whereas Greta’s lining took a more modest approach, as you would expect. 

I love this for Greta.
