Andrea Riseborough Makes a Case for Tone-on-Tone Dressing at the ‘Ebenezer’ Screening

Andrea Riseborough attended the New York special screening of Ebenezer at The Whitby Hotel on Sunday.

The British actress wore a HONOR Collection XIII crepe-back satin gown featuring a peaked neckline and an exaggerated, vaulted French lace collar. I love the contrast between the fluid satin and the intricate lace, which gives this otherwise simple silhouette its character.

It’s a beautiful look, and one that feels so right for Andrea, but I have a feeling many will be hung up on how closely the ivory shade matches her skin tone.

Then again, this has always been Andrea’s approach to fashion. Her pale complexion and preference for equally pale colours have long been part of her red carpet identity.

I think the tone-on-tone effect works for her, even if it isn’t to everyone’s taste.

Marie Mas jewels completed her look.
